Bagini Glacier Trek Itinerary
DAY 1: Haridwar to Joshimath (250 km)
Ride 250 km by car or bus from Haridwar to Joshimath.
Start your day early morning by exploring Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Karnprayag before moving on to Jumma.
The trip starts in Jumma, which is about an hour away from Joshimath.
DAY 2: Joshimath to Jumma to Ruing Village (9,180 ft)
Ride by car or bus 250 km from Haridwar to Joshimath.
Start your day by visiting Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Karnprayag then heading towards Jumma.
The journey begins in Jumma, which is roughly an hour away from Joshimath.
DAY 3: Trek 8 km, Hathi Parwat, Ghori Parwat, Bhumial God Temple
Today, roam on a route similar to the one visitor explored the day before. Enjoy a narrow path that rises and drops. The route passes through a dense forest as well.
Along the trip, enjoy the snow-capped mountains of Hathi Parvat and Ghori Parvat. Reach the interesting Dronagiri Village. You can your tent on the outskirts of the villages, which are lit by solar lights. You can also pay a visit to the local Bhumial God temple. Experience the sights from the temple of Bhumial God.
DAY 4: Dronagiri Village to Bagini Base Camp (14,711 ft)
Day 4 starts with a twisting pass, a view of Rishi peak top, and a crossing of a solid bridge across the Bagini river along a rock and pebble-plagued route. Take a break in a grassy area with a clear river running through it.
Longatulli camping ground is the next destination, a three-hour hike from Bagini lower campsite. Enjoy breathtaking views of peaks like Staminal, Hardeul, and Rishi Pahar. Overnight camping is available at the Bagini main base camp or the Advanced Bagini base camp.
Day 5: Base camp to Bagini Glacier (14,814 ft) & Back to Base camp
Highlights of the day: 15 km trek along with Glacier drifts, Moraines, and Ravines
Details: Prepare for a tough Bagini Glacier trek and Changbang trek today. Wake up early in the morning and prepared for the stunning sunrise at the Changbang campsite.
You’ll pass glacier drifts, moraines, and ravines along the trip. Allow yourself to be charmed by the amazing sight once you arrive at the Bagini Glacier, situated between majestic peaks. Go on and pull the trigger on the last destination, Changbang. Return to Bagini base camp utilizing the same route.
Day 6: Base camp to Ruing Village
On a brighter day, return to the base camp using the same route you used. Go down for around 18 km past Longatulli to Dronagiri Village and afterward Ruing Village. Set up your camp at Ruing Village for the night.
Day 7: Ruing Village to Jumma to Joshimath
Take a three-hour drop down to Jumma Village. You will be taken to Joshimath from here. It’s time to relax and recover from the trip. Guest houses are available for the night.
Day 8: Joshimath to Haridwar
You can grab an early bus to Haridwar. If you want, you can spend some time in the charming town of Joshimath. This is the end of the Bagini Glacier trek trip.
