Gulabi Kantha Trek: The Yamuna Valley is such a stunning attraction in Uttarakhand with strong religious significance for Hindus. The Yamuna River, which emerges from the Yamunotri Glacier, is the Ganga’s 2nd largest tributary. It is approximately 1,376 kilometers long and has multiple channels within the Indo-Gangetic Plains.
From the Yamuna valley, you can see the snow-capped ranges of the Panchachuli Range, Devi Nanda, and Trishuli. Gulabi Kantha Trek is indeed a moderate to difficult trek in Uttarakhand’s Yamuna valley that starts at a height of 3,789 meters above sea level and finishes at a height of 3,799 meters above sea level.

About the Gulabi Kantha Trek:
Gulabi Kantha trek is situated on the way to Dodital, a freshwater lake hike. It is enveloped by lush beautiful meadows, wildflowers, Beech trees, Oak, and a diverse range of flora and animals, offering trekkers with the possibility to view nature’s best beauty.
Gulabi Kantha Trek is situated nearly 12,000 feet above sea level and offers a beautiful view of the Himalayan range, featuring Kalindi, Bandar Poonch top, Chaukhamba peaks, and Shivalik mountains. All year round, the region provides a wide range of adrenaline-pumping experiences.
Gulabi Kantha Trek is just a low-altitude mountain trek that takes around 5 days to perform, considering travel, accommodation, and the activity itself.

Gulabi Kantha Trek Itinerary
DAY 1: Arrive at Hanuman Chatti
Start your day one by arriving at Hanuman Chatti, the Gulabi Kantha Trek base camp. Hanuman Chatti is the beginning point for seven to eight treks, such as the Fachu Kandi pass and the Bali pass trek, and it is also a major element of Char- Dham.
Before the trek, you will be updated on the logistics and other vital aspects. After the journey, you can pay your way to go to the Holy Temple Yamunotri Temple. The temple is 5 km from Janki Chatti and is open from April to May and closed from October to November.
After that, everyone can experience the bonfire and have a healthy meal. To make your Gulabi Kantha trek even more memorable, you can engage in amusing and important talks with your fellow companions.

DAY 2: 10 km Trek to Seema Thatch
Start your day 2 of the Gulabi Kantha trek with a quick breakfast and then pack your belongings for a ten-kilometer trek to Seema Thatch. During the trek, you will journey through a warm blanket of pines and oak leaves, and lush woodlands, and you will have the opportunity to admire the wonders of nature.
Lunch will be served after you get to Kandola in the afternoon. You’ll continue your trek after lunch and arrive at Seema thatch in the evening. You’ll check into your lavish tents and be served tea and refreshments. You’ll also see the sunset, and an evening meal will be served.

DAY 3: Trek to Gulabi Kantha and back to camp
On day 3 of the trek, after breakfast, you will trek to the Gulabi Kantha trek in the morning, a 5 km journey. When you arrived at Gulabi Kantha in the afternoon, you will be offered a packed lunch. Explore the location and take in the beautiful views of snow-capped hills and mountains such as Kalindi, Bandar Poonch top, Chaukhamba top, and Shivalik peaks.
If you’re carrying your cameras, you can also take amazing photos to keep your memories of the journey alive in your mind. Locals will also educate you about ancient Indian mythology and how the natives live in such poor conditions here.

DAY 4: Back to 10 km Hanuman Chatti
After breakfast on day 4 of the Gulabi Kantha Trek, you’ll trek through the Seema thatch towards Hanuman Chatti. At around 1 pm, you’ll be offered a nice lunch before continuing to Hanuman Chatti, the trek’s campsite.
You can share your trek experience with your other group members and staff, and if you need particular advice, you can share it with your provider. You’ll have dinner in the evening and love the bonfire and relaxing music.

DAY 5: Depart from Hanuman Chatti
On day 5 of the Gulabi Kantha Trek, you’ll depart from the Hanuman Chatti trek for Dehradun, having amazing memories with you. Our team will then drop you down at the railway station, where you will board the train or bus & came back to your hometown. This trip’s experiences will live on in your mind for the rest of your life.

How to reach Gulabi Kantha Trek
By Air:
Jolly Grant airport situated 25 km far from the city and serves Dehradun. There is a regular flight via Delhi to Dehradun.
By Train:
Take the Nanda Devi Express via Delhi to Dehradun at night.
By Bus:
There is a regular bus service via Delhi (ISBT Kashmere Gate) towards Dehradun. We advise that you only ride public buses again from the Kashmere Gate. Private buses operate from outside Kashmere Gate and are dishonest. The buses usually dropped you off at the Dehradun ISBT. From there, take an Ola or Uber, Cab, Auto, Rickshaw, and Shared three-wheeler to Dehradun Railway Station.
