Kuari pass trek is a very gorgeous winter or summer trek and an elevation trek in the Uttarakhand Himalayas. The Kuari pass Trek is suitable for those who have a huge interest in mountaineering. Despite that the peak is lesser in elevation, muscular strength and a high fitness record are required.
You travel 544 km by cab or a private vehicle from Dehradun to Joshimath and back to Dehradun, along with 33 km on foot from Dhak Village to the Kuari Pass peak at 12,516 ft and back to Joshimath.
These treks are not difficult, you can do it; people come from all over the world with different levels of fitness, and anyone can easily do the trek to Kuari Pass trek.

Kuari Pass Trek Itinerary
DAY 1: RISHIKESH TO JOSHIMATH
Leave Rishikesh early in the morning towards Joshimath, also called Jyotirmath, the winter home of Lord Badri, his idol is moved from Badrinath to Narsingh Temple in Joshimath.
The Hindus consider this sacred place an important religious destination in the country.
The trip may take around 10 hours. It is a difficult yet beautiful alpine drive.
The entire trip follows the river because it flows through the mountain.
You will reach Joshimath in the evening and get into your various rooms in the chosen hotel.
DAY 2: JOSHIMATH TO TUGASI VILLAGE: TUGASI VILLAGE (8,756 ft) TO GULLING (9,600 ft) TREK
The trek starts in Tugasi village, a tiny and beautiful village. After a delicious breakfast, we leave Joshimath early in the morning to visit the village.
Trek to Guling takes roughly 3 hours. The route is visually attractive enough to make you forget about your tiredness.
When you reach the campground, prepare dinner.
DAY 3: GULING (9,600 ft) - KHULLARA TOP (11,070 ft) TREK
Up, unfortunately Up! As you prepare for the most exciting day of the year. The route is quite difficult and climbs up to Khullara.
The route goes through a dense forest of oak, fir, and little flowing streams, providing a sense of peace.
When you reach the campground, take in the beautiful charm of the surroundings. After dinner, relax for the night.
DAY 4: KHULLARA - KUARI PASS – KHULLARA (12,763 ft)
The route from Khullara to the peak is tough at first.
Get ready for stunning views of the Himalayas from the top. Enjoy the nice views of Dronagiri, Chitrakantha, Chaukhamba, & Tali.
You’ll reach Khullara by the afternoon.
The remaining of the day will be free.
The travelers are invited to discuss their journeys.
Later, have dinner.
DAY 5: TREK TO DHAK VILLAGE & DRIVE TO JOSHIMATH
Breakfast will be available in the early morning.
After breakfast, you will leave from Khullara for Joshimath, where you will stay for the night.
You can go out on your own during the evening.
